Gabriella Cilmi's night of nights; full list of ARIA winners

Gabriella  Cilmi's maxed out her nominated potential at the 2008 ARIA's on Sunday night. The 17 year old was hardly known in the Australian industry this time last year but the success from her debut album 'Lessons to be Learned', and her breakthrough single 'Sweet about Me' turned her 6 nominations into ARIA glory.

The Melbourne born, London based songstress is now being compared to the likes of Kylie Minogue and Deltra Goodrem taking home 6 pointy gongs for; highest selling single, best pop release, breakthrough artist single, breakthrough artist album, best female artist and single of the year.

Joining Cilmi were local dance act The Presets who took home 3 arias for best group, album of the year and best dance release. The duo's highly acclaimed 2nd album Apocalypso fought off stiff competition and was also recognised for Jonathan Zawada's Album Art work, and Kris Moyes Video for the single release off the album My People.

Other winners on the night included Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu, (for Best World Music album and Best Independent release) Bliss 'n Eso, The Panics and the Living End. Below are a full list of awards and recipients from the night.
