Park Jam could have been a complete shamozzle! Small oversights in the running order placed the opening act nearly 1.5hrs behind schedule and early acts like Lazy Grey were cut fatefully short, to make up for lost time.
There was no microphone for the MC battle so MC's kicked it acappella over Rival's beatboxing, and apparently there was no music between acts!! Hmm perhaps they should have turned up DJ Josie Styles so that her interlude sets between acts were audible!!!
Highlights of the day included the Herd (when aren't they a highlight??), Adelaide's Terrafirma and Melburne's Art of War. Nick Lupi deservedly took out the MC battle finals on the main stage.
By the time Kool Keith came on, the crowd was a little exhausted after milling around a massive room for over 12 hours and their apathy was reflected in their response to Keith. Digital Underground or at least Shock G were lacklustre to say the least. It was an ambitious effort undertaken by UnderK-9 productions, and it was overall a good day but the sets could have been minimised to 15-20mins each act and the day could then have been cut in half.
