It was a very cold night in bowral, but there was still a reasonable turnout at the Loseby Park Youth Centre in Bowral.
First band of the night was The Vaine, who are a Sydney band with a strong following, they put on an excellent performance first up, with a strong following, very good guitar work, excellent vocals, and great showmanship, a set that would be hard to beat.
Next up was campbelltown boys levitikus, their first show in the southern highlands with new guitarist Simon, he looks to have fit into the band nicely, playing their new songs with much intensity.
After Levitikus the home town boys Curse At 27 delivered a firey, energetic set as always. For the 25 minutes they were playing, they were constantly moving around, throwing instruments and, at one point, joined the crowd for some moshing, these boys keep getting better everytime i see them.
Central Coast Dance rockers Killcare Beach played their first set since they opened for Silverstein according to vocalist James Kyle. This was my second time seeing killcare beach who are a band to look out for in the future, they write very catchy tunes, and are very intense live, their singer doing backflips of speakers and encouraging crowd participation, and excellent set.
Lastly, headliners Hospital The Musical delivered a ferocious set. Ripping through song after song of material that reminded me of Norma Jean and other bands of that genre, their vocalist Drew utilised all the space he had, screaming, jumping, running, everything he could do, he did, and he did it with pure metalcore class.
All in all, a great night, the SHHC group put on a great show, with an excellent bill.
