Bring It On!!!

Wed Apr 12 2006

Story by Cindy Fernandez

We did it! the Bring It On! Fairfield Youth Festvial came alive last
Sunday at the Fairfield Showground.

Over 5,000 young people showed up and we received a lot of positive
feedback!

This year we had 65 volunteers working and an exceptional team to
cover every area of the event. The youth got involved in the skatebaord,
basketball and the breakdance competition and over 20 Hot Cars
came to take part in the Car Expo. The 3 stages rocked with local rock bands
and hip hop performances. Nine High Schools took part in the
Fairfield School Idol Competition and Bossley Park won taking home the
sound and lighting package for their school.

Later that day, the big headline acts: Vaticide, Figg Kidd, Joel Turner
and Random delivered their best performance connecting with the
buzzing atmosphere the youth brought that day.

Thank you team - Linda Mirabillio, Majedie Warda and Claudia Guajardo
for your hard work and dedication as well as the volunteers, youth
workers and staff that worked on the day.

Also, a big thanks to our Sponsors and partners: Fairfield City
Council, Stockland Wetherill Park, Loud Project, Canley Heights hotel,
Cabravale Diggers, Mounties, Krispy Kreme, Tonatihu Holidays, Jazza
Right Productions, PCYC Cabramatta, Sydney Kings and Sporstspower.

Together we can Bring It On Again next year.
