Well i believe it was Sparticus who said ģbuild it and they and shall comeī... Maby that only worked 2 thousand years ago?...
None the less, Orange NSW, rocked out hard for the small crowd that faithfully gathered at Orange Ex-Serviceķs Club on Sunday 4th of September.
The evening opened with Orange band ģEnter Deaficitī taking to the stage. With members from seasoned local groups the band set the tone of the night with ease, playing tunes from the Butterfly Effect and Incubus. Matt Hunt added another dimension to the newly formed line up, leaving former singer Harry Mills to concentrate on guitar.
With Enter Deaficit having firmly rocked the floor, it was time to bring on the bad boys of metal ģBad Omenī. Opening with master of puppets, the pit screamed the chorus back at the masses of wind milling hair and finger tapped soloķs. Bad Omen reflected everything you could love about 90ķs grunge metal, with every detail from the cut off raggedy pants/shorts to the pulled up white socks and converse all stars.
Moving from metal to the instantly loveable sounds of 60ķs bop on steroids, ģThe Suitsī took the stage by storm. Their debut in the central west was off to a good start with the crowd caught up in their abundance of energy and solid riffs. The only problem was their set list, with every song seeming in close context as the last. That aside, they played an extremely tight show that was enjoyed by all.
Then it was time for the big guns. ģIntercoolerī had rocked the O before, infront of a three hundred plus crowd and tonight was no exception. From the first chord the crowd was jumping almost as high as the band. They played already famous songs such as Leaflet, the slower rock balled If i try and crowd favourite, Cream puff. The band played a hard set topping off an already pumped evening.
Due to the small crowd, everybody was able to stay around after the gig and meet the bands, have a chat and even get private body parts signed.
I do believe it was also Sparticus who said ģI am Sparticusī, but who gave a toss about that? A fantastic night by any standed.
