Crescendo IV – Federal Park skatepark, Crowley Street TEMORA

Temora Youth Council, known at TYRO (Temora Youth Representing Others) held their 4th annual youth concert “Crescendo” at Federal Park skatepark, Crowley Street, Temora on Friday 15th April 2005.

The concert (the 4th of its kind) was well supported by the town with a crowd of more that 320 people, who turned out to watch 6 local and regional bands battle it out in the battle of the bands which kick-started the night of live music followed by two headline acts, “FHB” (Wagga) and “NineTimesOver” (Sydney). The bands competing in the battle (from Temora, Wagga and Cootamundra) performed their very best for the first prize of $500 and the encouragement award of $100. There was also an additional prize this year for the winner with the chance for their band to perform at a gig in Sydney with one of Crescendo’s headline acts “NineTimesOver”. The winner (who was judge by headline act “NineTimesOver”) was Cootamundra band “Run For It”.

The two headline acts also performed well and got the crowd really involved,which was enjoyed by all who attended.

The event was really successful and TYRO was able to raise approximately $2000 towards their new project for a cinema in Temora.
